ABF The Soldiers' Charity

ABF The Soldiers' Charity, formerly the Army Benevolent Fund is a British charity. Since 1944 it has been the British Army's national charity, and provides financial and practical support to soldiers, former soldiers, and their families in times of need, even after they have left the Army.

The Ulysses Trust

The Trust provides funding assistance to challenging expeditions and adventurous activities involving members of the Volunteer Reserve Forces and Cadet Forces of the UK. Founded in 1992, it has supported over 1,500 expeditions to the tune of around £1.5 million. The Trust’s funds come from a variety of sources: some of the benefactors, and details of how to make donations, are shown within the Fundraising section of this site. The Trust is a registered charity (registration number 1012346), sponsored by the Ministry of Defence.

Army Sports Lottery

The Army Sports Lottery (ASL) was established in Sep 1993 to raise non-public funds for sport in addition to those available from other sources. Every ASL ticket is entered into a weekly prize draw with the opportunity of winning weekly cash prizes totalling £25,000. Annually, £1.35M is distributed in prize money. In addition, members can benefit through grants for Overseas Sports Tours, Sports Official/Coaching Courses, International Competitors Grants and Winter Sports Activities. In 2014/15 the ASL approved approximately £800k in grants to various sporting activity.
